The Buckhead Community Improvement District’s (BCID) board of directors recently selected three new officers at its January board meeting.
Thad Ellis, a senior vice president at Cousins Properties and former Buckhead CID vice-chairman, was voted as the new Buckhead CID board chairman. He is replacing David Allman, owner and chairman of Regent Partners, who has been the board chairman since 1999 when the CID was formed. Allman will still be involved with the CID as a board member.
Robin Suggs, general manager of Lenox Square Mall, will serve as the board’s new vice chairman. Herbert Ames, vice president of Southeast for EDENS will take on the role as board treasurer.
“We are very thankful for David’s involvement as our board chairman for the past 20 years and are glad that he is staying on the board as a member,” said Jim Durrett, executive director of the Buckhead CID. “His service has been extraordinary. I know this new leadership team will carry on the tradition of exemplary stewardship of our resources to continue moving Buckhead forward.”
About Buckhead CID
The mission of the BCID is to create and maintain a more accessible and livable urban environment. We meet the challenges of growth by investing tax dollars collected from commercial property owners within the district, as well as other funds we leverage from outside the district, to make meaningful improvements in the transportation network and public realm that connect people and places.
