City of Atlanta Announces Summer Food Program

The City of Atlanta announces the launch of the annual Summer Food Program. This is a partnership between the Mayor’s Office of Human Services and Bright from the Start: Georgia’s Department of Early Care and Learning. The program ensures that underserved children 18 years of age and younger in Atlanta continue to receive nutritious meals when school is not in session. The City of Atlanta Summer Food Program also has a Mobile Feeding component dedicated to reaching children throughout the city who do not have access to transportation.

Each summer, the program serves an average of 222,837 meals totaling approximately 8,136 breakfast and lunch meals per day.

For more information about the City of Atlanta Summer Food Program, please contact Program Coordinator Alexis Ramey at 404-546-3122.
